While at The Place, he created A Solo in the Spotlights, selected for Resolution 2023, Vetrina della Giovane Danza d’Autore 2023, and Spring Forward 2024, making him the Italian AEROWAVES artist for 2024.
The work has been presented at numerous festivals across Italy and Europe.
In 2025, he premiered SUPERSTELLA, his second solo, which was selected for Vetrina della Giovane Danza d’Autore 2025 and NID Platform 2025, and presented, among others, at the Roma Europa Festival.
Alongside his choreographic practice, Pagani works as a translator for various performance texts and, through his video-editing work, won the Tuttoteatro – Dante Cappelletti Award for Best Teaser for two consecutive years (2024, 2025). He collaborates with several artists from the contemporary scene, including Francesca Santamaria, Pietro Angelini, Perrine Valli, and Hanna Maria Wimmer.
In his creations, Pagani explores themes such as performativity and subversion, developing a multimedia choreographic practice in which multiple layers of the performative experience coexist and interact, establishing an embodied and reflective dialogue with the present and with contemporary cultural contexts.
