We are Collettivo Lattea, formed through the meeting of dancers and performers Chiara Cardona, Francesca Massaioli, and Ornella Trespidi. We share a strong background in the performing arts, and each of us brings a distinct personal path that enriches our work.
We met during our years of training and, after developing our individual research practices, we recognized strong connections around contemporary social issues. Our work seeks to question the present through the body, using movement to make visible the complex dynamics of our time, including environmental crisis, social change, and collective vulnerability. The collective’s practice explores new scenic and performative possibilities, with a particular focus on multidisciplinarity and the crossing of different artistic languages.
Collettivo Lattea develops its research across different contexts, creating performances for conventional theatrical spaces as well as site-specific settings. Here, performative action is inspired by a close relationship with everyday life and the territory, placing the body at the center as a tool for listening, connection, and transformation.
The collective’s research has received significant recognition, including Incubatore 2025 (BASE Milano) and DiDstudio_NAOpf25, curated by Ariella Vidach. For the 2025–2027 period, the collective was awarded the Starter grant by Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo, supporting the creation of the performance Moraine.
In 2026, Collettivo Lattea will be programmed within the PALCOSCENICO DANZA series as part of the TPE season in Turin, and will take part in the international program of the Quinzena de Dança de Almada – International Dance Festival.
