Zelia Pelacani Catalano was born in Rome in 1995. In 2018 she graduated from the Académie Internationale des Arts du Spectacle in Versailles. She subsequently completed a two-month internship at the Accademia del Dramma Antico in Syracuse. She studied film with Pupi Avati, movement with Giancarlo Sepe and Claire Heggen, and acting with John Strasberg. She is a co-founder of the Italo-French company Prisma Teatro, with which she participated in the Avignon Off Festival from 2016 to 2019. In 2020 she joined the Italian company I Nuovi Scalzi. In 2021 she collaborated with Compagnie Romantica, Compagnie
du Mystère Bouffe, Douzième Compagnie, and Compagnie des Marlins. In 2023 collaborated with Atelier Teatro Milano and Stivalaccio.
In 2024 she co-founded, together with other colleagues, the Matrioska Collective, in which she performs in Retrogusto Pop. In 2025 she joined the young ensemble of Marche Teatro and performed in Il Birraio di Preston, directed by Giuseppe Dipasquale, a Marche Teatro production.
