madalena reversa is an artistic project created by Maria Alterno and Richard Pareschi.
The research draws inspiration from the concept of aisthetics of Gernot Böhme’s philosophical doctrine and is articulated in the combination of visible and invisible elements, aimed at the composition of certain scenic Atmospheres. The horizon of artistic investigation dwells in poetry, the sacred and the spirit of the contemporary, creating counterpoints between simulacra of ancient images and perceptive glimpses of our present time.
Sound dramaturgy is the place of origin and initiatory matter with which the warp of word, light, body and scenes is manipulated.
Their work lies at an intersection zone between theater, visual arts, performance and installation.
Since 2021 madalena reversa has produced the following works:
Salome (2024), Manfred (2022), Romantic Disaster (2021), presented in festivals and institutions such as Triennale Milano, Biennale di Venezia, Santarcangelo Festival, Festival delle Colline Torinesi, Short Theatre, Kilowatt Festival, Grrranit Scéne Nationale Belfort (FR).
