Simone Donati is an Italian freelance artist. After graduating in 2014 from the Rambert School in London obtaining a Bachelor of Arts with First Class Honours, Simone has worked as a dancer with companies and choreographers including Balletboyz, Protein Dance, Contact Dance Company, Mir Dance Company, B’causeDance Company, Russell Maliphant, Richard Chappell Dance Company performing works by Ivan Perez, Roy Assaf, Javier De Frutos, Liam Scarlett, Maura Morales, Ivgi & Greben, Antonin Comestaz, Fabio Liberti, Giuseppe Spota, Luca Silvestrini, Francesca Tranter and others.
Simone started choreographing during her time at the Rambert School and some of her creations have been performed at the Lilian Baylis studio, Linbury theatre and Cloud Dance Festival in London, Teatro Bonci, Marche Teatro’s Inteatro Festival and Musiktheater Im Revier/Mir Dance Company.
Simone has held workshops of contemporary dance, floorwork, contact and movement in relation to the myofascial system in organisations and companies around the world such as Ballet am Rhein Dusseldorf, Mir Dance Company Gelsenkirchen, Rambert School, Trinity Laban, DanceWorks, The Place, Santa Barbara University, Alberta Ballet in Calgary, Agora coaching project, Centro ArteMente, Balletboyz, DanzarTeatro Padova, Luz Siedlce, the Evening Space Malta, Oriente Occidente, and others.
While in London, Simone participated and contributed to the development of inclusive dance projects such as “Dance Together”, “Richmond Project” and “Parkinson’s Can Dance”, helping people with disabilities connect with dance and movement.
Simone is the creator of Associazione Indomita and co-artistic director and composer of Atmo Music Productions with whom he has been creating electronic music for choreographers, dance companies, performance artists, video makers, installations and fashion designers since 2015.
