Within the multidisciplinary collective Tecnologia Filosofica of Turin, Francesca Cinalli – dancer and choreographer – and Paolo De Santis – musician and composer – have been investigating the Ritual Body since 2006, with research that has developed along a specific artistic and poetic trajectory. It revolves around archetypes in a performative dimension between artifice and nature, in search of a point of contact between East and West, between art and territory.
The research results in performances between the real and the virtual: in 2021, Hydrocosmos_film in VR, made with the Iranian director Milad Tangshir with the support of Coorpi and in collaboration with Fondazione Piemonte dal Vivo; in 2018, Sinfonia H2O, Winner Bando Residenza Artistica Lavanderia a Vapore 2019; in 2017 Verso une Flèche, Festival Troia Teatro Prize; in 2016, In Superficie, Ermocolle Critics’ Prize; in 2012, Niji_una preghiera, Critics’ Award Ermocolle and invited in 2015 by IIC Jakarta – Indonesia; in 2010, Canzoni del Secondo Piano, selected at Festival Les Hivernales in Avignon, presented at the Italian Dance Platform of Festival TorinoDanza 2011 and invited in California for the 2011 Season of Theatre Raymond Kabbaz in L.A.
